Born in Chicago, Mako moved to Oakland at 7 years old. He began producing in 1990 and performed with M.O.S. (Misfits of Style), an Oakland based underground Hip-Hop Group until 1998. During that period he linked up with Pep-Love from the Hieroglyphics crew and began producing tracks for the album “Ascension”. In 1998 he joined Oldominion and eventually moved to Portland in 2000. There he Co-founded Momentum Studios providing quality recordings at affordable prices. Momentum Studios engineering credits include Oldominion, Master Ace, Mr. Lif, Cannibal Ox and Abstract Rude.
Mako is a mixture of Dante’s Inferno, Manfred, Vampires, and alcohol. Pissed off and wondering what the fuck he’s doing here, trying to illuminate stupid humans who really just want to throw there hands up when told. After completing his rare album “Darkness Visible” he spends most of his time recording various artists and playing Video Games. Currant projects include the Fight Music “Mix Tape One” as well as his new untitled album.
